Casey Ehrlich, PhD, is the leading researcher on PDA in the United States, a mother of two PDA children, and the founder and CEO of At Peace Parents.

At Peace Parents is a neurodiversity affirming organization training parents, grandparents, therapists, teachers and others to understand and support PDA children and teens around the world. 

Our mission is to reduce violence (towards oneself and others) and heal intergenerational trauma, one household at a time.

We do this by providing expert private coaching, evidence-based programming, endless free training, and the safe, nonjudgemental support of the wonderful people below.

Jake does all sorts of things for At Peace Parents, while also helping parent his and Casey’s two young PDA children. Prior to joining the team, he worked in journalism, government and social services for 20 years.

Juliana Carrillo

Parent Coach, Operations Associate

Juliana, a licensed psychologist in her native country, Colombia, has both personal and professional experience supporting PDA children and their parents. For two years she lived with a family with PDA children, serving as a caretaker and gaining tremendous understanding of the PDA brain and nervous system. She brings this and her experience conducting field research with neurodivergent and neurotypical children to her work.

Kendahl Damashek

Parent Coach, Director of Content and Curriculum

Kendahl brings her unique experience as a PDA Autistic mother raising four PDA humans under the age of 10. She has an educational background in psychology and neuroscience and a B.A. from Amherst College. Kendahl was the lead research assistant on a project studying Therapeutic Alliance at UMass Amherst and worked with middle school children in San Francisco before focusing her energy and creativity on parenting and caregiving.

Helen Edwards

Social Media and Customer Service Manager

Helen was a barrister in London for 15 years, but after having two kids—one of whom is PDA—and moving to the countryside, the lawyer thing wasn’t for her anymore. She created and ran a successful floristry studio until her PDAer could no longer attend school. She now works part-time for At Peace Parents, sharing deep empathy for parents in emails and social media. Helen is PDA and AuDHD.

Donna Georgen

Parent Coach, Director of Program Affordability

Donna’s passion for helping families comes from 26 years of lived experience and extensive training in PDA. She has raised two PDA children to be young adults and completed the PDA Society’s college-certified “Levels Program” in Pathological Demand Avoidance. Donna was also the first Support Group Coordinator for PDA North America and in this role she created dozens of PDA Parent Support groups in the United States that are still thriving.

Diego Uribe

Multimedia Associate

A licensed psychologist in his native country, Colombia, Diego lived for months in a home with PDA children, honing his understanding of their neurobiology and demonstrating his incredible ability for cross-cultural communication and connection. Diego also collaborates with traditional medicine organizations in South America, he is a great graphic artist and traveler.
